Swimming Pool, Parks, and Pavilion Rules and Regulations

POOL
1. Property owners are responsible for the conduct of their guests and must inform their guests of these “The
Oaks Swimming Pool and Parks Rules and Regulations.”
2. Property owners and their guests use this facility at their own risk. Lifeguards are not on duty.
3. The pool is open from 6AM to 10PM, daily, from April 1st to October 1st. Modified dates / times may be set by
The Oaks Subdivision Board of Directors. The pool may be closed during the open period for repairs or
servicing.
4. The telephone in the pool area is only for reporting emergencies to the Sheriff and / or Ambulance.
5. Diving into the pool, glass containers, loud music, profanity, running, horse play and pets are safety concerns
and as such, are not allowed inside the pool’s fence.
6. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult of 18 years or older who can swim
and will be responsible for the safety and conduct of the minor.
7. The covered pavilions and lounging facilities are to be used on a first come, first-served basis as they cannot be
reserved in advance.
PARKS
1. Property owners are responsible for the conduct of their guests and must inform their guests of these “The

2. Property owners and their guests may use these facilities at their own risk.
3. Overnight camping is permitted in Charter Oak Park if accompanied by a property owner. Overnight camping is
not permitted in Cove Park. Cove Park is open daily from 6AM to 9PM.
4. Open fires are allowed in fire rings. Free standing cooking pits are available. Fire safety requires that fires must
be fully extinguished before leaving the area. Park fire regulations follow the Comal County burn bans.
5. Picnic tables and surrounding areas should be cleaned after use and all trash deposited in trash containers.
Containers are maintained for picnicking and camping use and not for disposal of household garbage or
refuse.
6. Covered pavilions at both parks are available on a first come, first-served basis as they cannot be reserved in
advance.
7. County leash laws apply in the parks.
Pavilion
1. Available - unless "Reserved".
2. To Reserve, click on "Pavilion Rental' tab on the homepage of this website.
3. Please be respectful of the residential neighborhood.
4. The OAKS POA assumes no liability for loss, damage, accidents, or injury to persons or property. All persons using this facility do so at their own risk.
5. Member is responsible for the conduct of their guests. Children must be supervised by responsible adults at all times.
6. Decorations and signs are permitted but must be removed when leaving. If you tape/fasten decorations you must remove all tape/fasteners.
7. Absolutely No open fires, BBQ grills, fireworks, sparklers, or ignition sources of any kind under the pavilion.
8. All messes must be picked up, swept, and/or mopped as appropriate. No confetti, silly string, or other similar items.
9. All trash must be properly disposed. Do not leave trash that exceeds the container capacity.
10. Absolutely No: Bicycles, Scooters, ATVs, Golf Carts, or vehicles of any kind under the pavilion.​​
U.S. Corps of Engineers Lake Shore Regulations (a.k.a. 918 foot elevation contour line)
1. All land below the 918-ft elevation contour line extending along the lake front for both Charter Park and Cove
Park, belong to, and are managed by, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
2. Driving or parking of motor vehicles on the U.S. Corps of Engineers land is prohibited. All motor vehicles are to
be parked above the 918-ft elevation contour and allow clearance on park roads / driveways.
3. Violation of the Corps of Engineers regulations may result in ticketing and/or towing of vehicles. See the Corps
